JCBG team attended the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of American Wonder Group at Lebanon, TN in April 2017. Our team assisted with this greenfield investment project. The American Wonder Porcelain facility signifies the first investment in the US from a Chinese ceramic tile manufacturer. The Wonderful Group is a division of Marco Polo, which is the largest producer of ceramic tile in China, and one of the largest and most financially stable tile companies in the world. This U.S. facility marks the largest greenfield investment so far in Tennessee with $150 million and creating over 200 jobs.
Michael Kephart, a veteran of the ceramic tile industry, was hired by Wonder Porcelain Group CFO Charles Huang to be president and CEO of American Wonder Porcelain.
"Our goal is to produce a high-quality, finished porcelain tile that will be used in floors, walls and counters in residential and commercial applications," he said.
American Wonder Porcelain incorporates proven processes and strategy as well as a new vision for manufacturing, marketing, and selling tile in the United States.
