Over the last two decades organizations have relied on the expertise of J C Business Group to develop and implement global business strategies.

J C Business Group was established in 2002 in Nashville, Tennessee by co-founder Li Weaver and a group of seasoned executives with decades of experience developing and implementing international business strategies for multinational companies. In the earlier years, we primarily assisted U.S. companies entering the Asian markets and establishing a presence in Asia through our knowledge of local industries, market trends and government policies.

Over the past 10 years, we have been increasingly assisting Asian companies with outbound investments, location strategies, manufacturing site selections, and business operations in the United States. We have served clients from industries in advanced manufacturing, logistics, research & development, customer care, and data centers. J C Business Group has undertaken numerous projects for variety of industries and the following are examples of projects we have done over the years.

The State of Tennessee, one of the fastest growing states in the Southeast U.S. understands the importance of global business. Tennessee has been one of the top destinations for foreign direct investments in the nations. Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development was looking to attract foreign investments and promote business ties with Chinese companies by establishing a presence in China. JCBG was awarded the contract to represent Tennessee through the establishment of Tennessee-China Development Center from 2007-2021. JCBG continues to work with local chambers and business communities to develop projects that create jobs in Tennessee. Today, China is the 3rd largest trading partner with Tennessee. Over 70 Chinese companies have operations in the state employing 8,000+ Tennesseans.

American Wonder Porcelain is a well-known Chinese company in the ceramic industry. When the company decided to explore investment opportunities in the United States in 2015 JCBG partnered with TNECD to assist the company with the site selection process, approval of state and local incentives and connected the company with local resources and business networks to ensure success of the project. The company has invested $350 million employing over 350 local workers.

Thomas Nelson Publishing, a major American publishing company wanted to expand their business in China. After developing a China business entry strategy, our team worked with the company to build strategic alliance with several key publishers to grow licensing revenues and have better control of their intellectual property. JCBG was responsible for managing the key relationships as well as seeking new opportunities to expand their presence in the China market.

Polygon Technology, a medium-sized American manufacturing company that makes engineered composite material has been doing business all over the world. Wanting to enter the China market for their bushing product, they reached out to our team. After conducting an in-depth marketing research about the Chinese bushing market, we helped the company to develop an in-house sales force to expand distribution networks in China.
